Why Does it Matter? The Health Risks of a Coal-Fired Power Plant in your Neighborhood Presented by Dr. Craig Booth and Dr. Christian Hyde Dr. Booth has practiced medicine in St. George for 34 years and was the Dixie Regional Medical Director from 1986-2002. In his years as a doctor, Dr. Booth has delivered 2,500 babies that will be exposed to the pollution from Toquop. Dr. Hyde is a Radiation Oncologist at the Huntsman-Intermountain Cancer Center in St. George. His grandfather lived in southern Utah and developed lung cancer after working in uranium mines and mills. After he died, his downwinder compensation helped pay Dr. Hyde's first year of medical school. Dr. Hyde believes, that like the era of nuclear testing, the dangers of this coal plant are being downplayed by those who stand to profit financially, while St. George will suffer the burnt of long term health effects. Please join Dr. Booth and Dr. Hyde for this very important presentation. It is your health and the health of your children that is at stake.
